Why Forge exists
Forge exists because of one conviction: AI is already capable enough for the work. What it lacks is trust. Decades inside real businesses have taught us that trust, not capability, is what decides whether a new technology ever makes it into production.
Businesses and professionals do not hold back from AI because it cannot do the work. They hold back because they cannot control it, verify it, or stand behind what it does. An answer on data that might leak, from a tool they do not govern, with no record of how it got there, is not something anyone handling sensitive information can put into production.
Closing that gap is an engineering problem rather than a promise, and the three principles behind Forge are how we go about it: protect the data by construction, control the process rather than handing it to a model, and make the work reconstructable afterwards.
Confidentiality is not one need
In regulated sectors, data legally cannot leak. Professionals and firms hold information their clients trusted them to protect. Pricing, plans or strategy in the hands of a competitor is an existential threat. Those are different fears with one requirement.
For a consultancy the asset at risk is not only data but the method itself. A firm whose research, risk or analytics model took years to build cannot hand that model to a client and still own it, so the method usually stays behind a report and the client never gets to run it on their own numbers.
And for anyone teaching this work, the exercises that would teach it best are the ones using the organisation’s own material, which is precisely what cannot be taken to a public tool.
Different fears, one requirement: what goes in must not leak out. That is why Forge serves regulated firms, professional practices and businesses; the consultancies that deliver their models through it; and the training teams that run on real work with their own people.
That is what we mean by governed AI: accountable, auditable, and yours.
Who's behind Forge
Forge is built by GradTensor, founded by Prabhu Eshwarla. Prabhu was earlier the CTO of a European startup building a distributed privacy protocol, and has decades in enterprise technology including regulated industries such as banking and financial services. His work is on defensible AI: systems that are reliable, accountable, and confidential.
